Project Guide
The Fane
Theatrical Piece

THE ELEMENT FANE is a concept in development and concludes with a full-room installation that houses much of my life expression and artistic intention. It is a final installation, a home, a sanctuary filled with art, artifacts, relics, findings, keepsakes, belongings, books and treasures. The contents have been, and continue to be, created and stored in crates for the future. All the items are given context by the content of my story, My Gamma Waves.

A Fane is a poetic word for a sacred room, or a temple or shrine. My Fane is filled with elementals, items that interact with the elements of nature. All works exhibited in The Elemental Fane are similar to settings and props used a theatrical production.

The Fane 18" x 24", water color, ©1999 Early sketch of a room, now referred to as a Fane, that will house the items in my projects.

The Fane is filled with art comprised of relics, artifacts, objects, and handmade books created from my life as an artist. All the items are preserved and protected in crates.

The Element Fane is filled with my projects Red Trees, 100 Tears, and World Rivers, a few unbroken series such as Life on Hold and The Demandments. Installations, such as Negative to Positive and Reading Tea Leaves, are included as well as my library of books consisting of Found, journals from the future, and other related writing and book forms.

Family heirlooms, keepsakes, belongings, souvenirs, and found treasures are part of the story My Gamma Waves.

Garments are made from fabric from the projects and location, as are bags and pouches.

Every item is given tender care and stored within protective layers.

Containers, vessels, boxes, carts play have their role in housing a plan to one day be unpacked.

My ideas keep me busy and quiet, away from the fray of the world.
