 Below are a few videos that I have worked and completed over the years. Moving images intrigue me when they are enchanted with sensation. In my studio pactice I've straddled several forms of changing technology. One goal is to on day transfer all my footage from super8 and complete a few more shorts. An idea for a series of works on paper. I made this video when I decided upon the name of the series, The Demandments. This video conveys my heavy-hearted concern about our world and the invention of my own hope. I filmed current events (news segments) myself, up close, from a laptop resting on lap. It is what I do. I blur lines. My hope resides in my project-based lessons, adapted directly from my art projects, to engage students and transform the classroom. 100 TEARS: is a long-term project in progress that began 2000. The above video was made in 3 parts over 12 years and is part of the final installation as a video projection loop. The visual settings preserve the textual content. Starting with translucent pages seemingly blown by the wind in Part 1, to the movement of the ocean tide in Part 2, and in Part 3, a complete daily cycle of the sun.
